HOW TO SELECT PLANTS

Selecting appropriate plant material is as important as following proper planting procedures. Seattle Native Plants offers onsite consultation, plant planning and installation services. For the DIY crowd, we suggest the following resources for selecting appropriate plants for your backyard habitat, landscape, rain garden, restoration and mitigation projects.

The Washington Native Plant Society is a great resource in general. You can search for plants by many characteristics including, light, moisture, name and color. The "Starflower Foundation" resources on this site are simple to use and informative.
